Protect your PayPal account

Your password is the key to your account

Never share your password with others and remember that PayPal will never ask you for your password.1

If you receive an email or text asking you to change your password, it could be phishing. Be cautious and don't click the link in the message. Instead, open a browser window, type paypal.com and log into PayPal. This is the safe way to reset your password.
