NYSGTF is a non-profit professional organization for those in genetics services throughout the state. It provides education in genetics, including causes, treatment and prevention of genetic diseases. It addresses counseling patients and families as well as ethical issues encountered in the delivery of services. Through educational, networking and professional development opportunities, NYSGTF seeks to maintain a cohort of qualified genetics professionals, driven by data, to better serve NY residents.
