Big brand goods attract attempted fraud.

Criminals love luxury goods, too. Blueberry Brands suffered regular attempted frauds with cyber criminals using fake or stolen card numbers to try to buy designer products. Many were stopped, but Blueberry had to bear the cost of fraudulent losses and chargebacks. It wanted a partner that could help it detect, minimise and manage its losses.

Choosing a partner with world-class security and fraud prevention tools.

Blueberry Brands chose to partner with PayPal because its fraud-prevention technology offered a secure payment solution for sellers. PayPal also enables more shoppers to purchase in their preferred currency, helping the company expand its international operations.

Reducing fraud and increasing conversion.

PayPal monitors every transaction every second to help guard against fraud, and other scams like phishing and identity theft. In addition, PayPal Seller Protection may provide protection against unauthorized transactions. Since choosing PayPal, Blueberry Brands has seen a large decrease in average monthly fraud attempts, saving the business an average of £2,000 per month.

PayPal’s familiar brand and currency options have also helped boost sales conversion rates by 23.7% in Canada and by 58.8% in Australia.

“PayPal provided a way to offer a secure payment solution for sellers and reduce our chargeback rate significantly. An average of 65 scam attempts per month was reduced to almost zero, saving us £2,000 per month. Offering more buyers the option to pay in their local or preferred currency helped Blueberry Brands expand our operation to new markets in Australia and Canada.”
