The preservation and protection of good health and life of persons and animals injured or stranded either above or below ground by carrying out rescue operations and to assist the police in these and similar activities. NWCRO answers call-outs from North Wales Police to carry out searches and rescues of persons and animals in caves and disused mines in North Wales. NWCRO organises a group of volunteer rescuers from the caving and mine exploration community to undertake rescues.
