Let's be Outrageously Fabulous again!
Having marched in the San Francisco parade over a number of years, we certainly have been noticed. They called us "Absolutely Fabulous" in 2018, “Absolutely Outrageous” in 2019, and when the parade returned in 2022 we again were confirmed to still be “Absolutely Outrageous”
We don't do it for recognition and awards though. Northern California Furries just does it for the fun of being there to add our story to the wonderful diversity of it all and show our outrageous love for Pride. However, even participating in the parade doesn't come cheap. Registration cost 404.48 this year, then insurance of the contingent comes in at a few hundred dollars. Fuel, supplies and bridge tolls all add up as well. Then there’s the float. It’s still in decent condition but we want to do even better this year adding a bit nicer railing and some more flair and theme to it.. And that costs a bit too.
Thus this campaign will have a goal of $3,000. Yes that sounds like a lot but as said we have some big plans for the trailer and contingent and don’t want to aim too low. Again Spottacus graciously is matching donations so the goal is not as far as it would seem.
All that said, with your help, Zoren [John Merris-Miche], and Disko along with the rest of our team can reach this goal and make this year Fabulously Outrageous again.
