The Humane Society of the Uwharries is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, 100 percent volunteer-based animal welfare organization in Montgomery County, North Carolina. HS-URE is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes to promote the humane treatment of animals and unite families with their forever friends. By creating a network of volunteer advocates, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, and shelters, we work together to provide health programs, education, and rescue to the local community.
