EDOA staffs and manages the regional emergency pet shelter. We also operate a Lost Dog Network utilizing dozens of trained searchers and hundreds of observers to reunite lost dogs with their owners. EDOA advocates for the rights, responsibilities and privileges of dog owners through education and coordination with local officials and committees. EDOA offers an annual scholarship to a local student studying in a field associated with pet care and services.
