The Lantern is Sheffield's oldest surviving theatre, run by the Dilys Guite Players, an independent charity that is one of the most unique places for communities to experience and take part in arts and education. We aim to give all people something positive to do and encourage them to develop new skills and interests. We believe that talent is all around, but opportunity is often not. Our expansive approach to theatre inspires our community to value themselves, think big, and believe in succeeding.
